No Criticism of Official Rules by Tiger Woods

Finally, we have it all clear in-front of us that it was all rumors and inaccurate information spread by a reporter. The words that were spread around said that Tiger Woods had been fined by the PGA for his criticism of a rules official's controversial actions in the final round of Sunday's Bridgestone Invitational in Akron, Ohio. We all know that Woods' won this European tour and the rumors followed it.

Both Tiger Woods and the PGA confirmed that there was no disciplinary action pending against him and neither does Woods' have to pay any kind of fine. In a statement to FOX, official from PGA tour said, "The information that was conveyed to the reporter was inaccurate. There has been no process started with respect to any disciplinary action. Based on the reports we have read, Tiger's comments related to the impact of the decision. We did not read them as being an unreasonable attack or disparaging."

Similarly, Woods confirmed the same, "I've heard from the Tour and there's no fine. That was an erroneous report," he said after having a word with the PGA championship. The whole issue started when Woods marked his victory by completing his game in four shots. They later came to know that Padraig Harrington and Woods were put on the clock after walking off the tee at the par-5 16th. Woods and Harrington were told by Paramor that they were being timed. The issue became personal with Paramor's name coming in. Woods then confessed that he has always respected the job of a rules official and that was one reason he was expecting a better judgment on whatever he said.

All the rumors ended on a good note with confirmation coming from both ends. And soon you will see Woods and Harrington playing together once again as they are paired together against 2002 champion Rich Beem -- for the first two rounds. Both of them arrived in Minnesota on Sunday night for the game.
